CESTA Digital Humanities Scholars Residency Applications Are Open!

The applications for the 2025 CESTA Digital Humanities Research Scholars Residency is open!
The Digital Humanities Research Scholars Residency at CESTA (formerly known as DH Research Fellows Program) is designed to prepare graduate students for a future where digital scholarship is the norm. Applications for the 2024-25 program are due Friday, November 8, 2024.
Over two quarters (Winter and Spring), scholars will enter a community of practice that features workshops with special guests tailored to the needs of the cohort, works-in-progress presentations from fellows, and guidance from scholars and practitioners across campus. Each DH scholar will benefit from two quarters of support from undergraduate research interns whose interests and expertise closely align with the research project.
This year the residency will be directed by Nichole Nomura, who is currently a Lecturer at the English Department and Associate Director of the Literary Lab. Nichole isn't a stranger to the program or CESTA, as she was a DH Research Fellow in 2019-20, and was the Mellon-Sawyer Postdoctoral Fellow at CESTA last academic year.

We are hosting a Lunch & Learn for interested graduate students and postdoctoral scholars on October 17th at 12 pm in Wallenberg Hall, Room 433A. Please RSVP to get food for the event here. If you cannot make it to the event, email Nichole Nomura (nnomura [at] stanford.edu (nnomura[at]stanford[dot]edu)) or drop by CESTA (Wallenberg Hall, 4th floor) with any questions.
