We’re elated to learn that a CESTA alum, Molly Taylor-Poleskey, is among the recent National Endowment for the Humanities grant awardees.

Molly is now an Assistant Professor of History at Middle Tennessee State University. This NEH Summer Stipend will support the research and writing toward a monograph examining the court of Friedrich Wilhelm through its food and culture. Molly completed her PhD in History at Stanford in Winter 2016.

Through the course of her participation in CESTA’s DH Graduate Research Fellow and Graduate Certificate in Digital Humanities programs, Molly developed a database of food consumption at the court of Friedrich Wilhelm (Prince Elector of Bradenburg-Prussia, 1640-1688). Molly also contributed to other projects at CESTA, including as a research assistant for the Mapping the Republic of Letters working with the Grand Tour project team.
