RAs by the numbers

This week, we wanted to take a deeper dive on the CESTA Summer RAs and the diverse demographics. Of the 30 undergraduate and co-term RAs currently on board, there are 19 humanities majors, 6 studying the sciences, 6 in engineering, and one undeclared. Many of the RAs are double majoring in different areas, getting different tastes and experiences in their studies. In fact, there are a total of 21 unique majors dispersed throughout the 30 Research Assistants. The two most popular majors are CS and English, which truly encompasses the digital and humanities aspects of CESTA! We’re thankful to have such a varied group of RAs on board to embrace the diverse collaboration that lies at the heart of digital humanities.

From the writer’s desk
I’m Huanvy Phan, a rising sophomore majoring in Asian American Studies and Philosophy. I’m working as a Communications Assistant this summer, which involves helping with the day-to-day intercommunications between the RAs and managing this blog. I’m beyond thrilled to be working with CESTA and I’m eager to dive into the world of digital humanities.
