Welcome Summer RAs!

Last week, CESTA welcomed a cohort of new and returning Summer Research Assistants. They are working on a variety of projects within the digital humanities, including (but not limited to) georeferencing medieval maps, transcribing the oral histories of Chinese Railroad Workers, and digitizing historical data on Bay Area educational funding. The 30 RAs are excited to learn more about the digital humanities at Stanford and beyond!

CESTA is excited to have our Research Assistants on board and will be sharing their work throughout the summer. We will be showcasing the RAs as well as their thoughts about digital humanities on our new blog (link to blog). Stay tuned to learn more about our RAs and what they're up to for the rest of the quarter!

From the writer’s desk

I’m Huanvy Phan, a rising sophomore majoring in Asian American Studies and Philosophy. This summer, I’ll be helping with the day-to-day intercommunications between the RAs, as well as managing this blog. I’m beyond thrilled to be working with CESTA this summer as a Communications Assistant and I’m eager to dive into the world of digital humanities.
