Ato Quayson
As a professor of English and Interdisciplinary Studies, Ato Quayson has a broad range of research specializations including uban studies, cultural theory, diaspora and transnationalism, and literary criticism. At CESTA, he is Project Lead of Urban Studies and Practice of Theory, which draws on geography, anthropology, and archival and historical research to provide unique views of major cities (Accra, New York, London, and Hong Kong) expanding outward from their high streets. He has published a number of scholarly works on related topics, including his 2014 book Oxford St., Accra: City Life and the Itineraries of Transnationalism He also curates Critic.Reading.Writing, a YouTube channel dedicated to various topics in literature, urban studies, and the humanities in general.
