Erin Eger

Erin joined the Stanford Humanities Center in 2025 as the CESTA Research and Programs Manager. Prior to this role, she worked in academic and student affairs at institutions including San Francisco State University, the University of Washington, and Pacific Lutheran University, where she managed programs, oversaw academic advising, developed curricula, supported faculty, managed grants, and conducted institutional research.

Erin recently earned her PhD in Education from the University of Washington. Her research examines how institutional characteristics—along with the broader social, economic, and political contexts in which colleges and universities operate—influence the use of distance education over time.
