In addition to the Latin Language, Grant Parker’s teaching and research focus on the topics linked to exotic and geographic elements of Roman imperial culture. At CESTA, he is Project Lead of Aftermaths of Enslavement: Curating Legacies, Egypt in South Africa and Voortrekker Monumentality. These projects use digital databases of archival and monumental material to explore colonial ideologies and legacies of enslavement, respectively, in and beyond South Aftrica.
