Project Title
Echoes and Silences: Tracing the Evolution of Philosophical Discourse in the Digital Epoch
The digital age has constructed new highways of information, linking old canon citadels to emerging thought hubs in the vast landscape of philosophical thought. One of the most influential online encyclopedias, the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy (SEP), presents a comprehensive view of the rich interconnections between thinkers and philosophical themes. Yet, amidst this vast expanse, two questions arise: Whose voices dominate? And which voices, if any, are relegated to the shadows?
Through network and textual analyses of the SEP, this project seeks to map the evolving networks of philosophical discourse; and to examine how they are represented in the digital age, with a special focus on thinkers who are historically marginalized.
