Opportunities for Student and Teacher Learning in Context: Access to Advanced Secondary Content Expertise

This dissertation project investigates variations in learning opportunities for both students and teachers in U.S. public secondary schools across geographic communities. The primary aim of the research is to identify regions and communities in the U.S. where support for advanced secondary learning opportunities must be expanded for both students and teachers. Additionally, the project seeks to pinpoint areas where such opportunities are most concentrated. By highlighting such spatial variability in learning opportunities, this project aims to promote a more equitable distribution of resources and opportunities for all learners.
