Paula Findlen’s interests range from the evolution of scientific and medical knowledge to the history of ambitious thinkers in the Renaissance and Gilded Age America. At CESTA, she is Project Lead of the Early Modern Mobility project, which uses digitally-enhanced mapping techniques to document the expansion of communication and transportation networks across a variety of regions from 1500-1800. Her edited volume Early Modern Things: Object and their Histories, 1500-1800 was released by Routledge in 2021.
