Project Title
Sexual slang in the Latin language

I study the Latin language in order to understand ancient Roman sexual culture, a topic that has traditionally been understudied within the field of Classics. I am working on a data visualization tool to help me analyze sexual slang derived from agricultural metaphors. This tool will track changes in meaning and frequency over time. In doing so, I aim to apply DH methods to modernize the study of ancient sexuality and Latin linguistics.
