Literary Lab Director, Prof. Mark Algee-Hewitt, receives Graves Award in the Humanities

Prof. Mark Algee-Hewitt  has won the highly competitive and prestigious Graves Award in the Humanities. Prof. Algee-Hewitt is an Assistant Professor of Digital Humanities in the English Department at Stanford University , director of the Stanford Literary Lab , oversees the program for the Graduate Certificate in Digital Humanities, and is a member of CESTA's Faculty Advisor Board.

The Arnold L. Graves and Lois S. Graves Award reward “outstanding accomplishment in actual teaching in the humanities.” The award is administered by Pomona College in association with the American Council of Learned Societies. The President of Stanford nominates one junior faculty person every other year and this year Stanford nominated Mark.
