Project Title
Social Lives of Fiscal Institutions in the Eastern Mediterranean (6th-2nd centuries BCE)

My project examines the social lives of fiscal institutions by decomposing the larger networks into individual components and examining the fiscal practices of social groups of different scales. In particular, I trace the diffusion and isomorphism of fiscal practices, organizational structuring, and legal formations, and I query how similar fiscal arrangements and practices lead to divergent outcomes.
